Williamsburg to Richmond, VA. 68.3

Despite high heat( high 80's) and high humidity we were spoiled today with 30 plus miles on a quiet and mostly shady bike path. As we headed into Richmond we thought we could outrun gathering ominous black clouds letting loose but we didn't .
Last night's lovely dinner at the Blue Talon Bistro in Williamsburg
We are in beautiful dogwood country
As some jokester said.. There is a man outstanding in
   his field.
   Passed several Civil War battle
   fields near Richmond
Malvern Hill cemetery near battle field

  Beautiful bike path
   Downtown Richmond
Great bike path in Richmond with built
in pump and bike tools modeled by
   Dolly

Waiting out the rainstorm under an awning
  Beautiful repurposed old buildings along
  the James River in Richmond

  1. A thirty mile bike path sounds great. From your pics I see that the entire trip is rooted in histiory. Hope you didn't have too many miles left to go after the storm! Ride safe and sleep well! xxoo
