New Bern to Plymouth, NC. 77.1 miles

Yesterday's blog was just published today -we had weak Internet in New Bern last night. So...rolling along... today we made it to Plymouth. Only on a long bike trip does a 75 mile day after a hundred mile day sound like a break, however I was feeling pretty tired the last 25 miles today . We started out crossing  the very wide Neuse River on a high and long bridge and then picked up the pace to make it to the 11:15 ferry across the Pamlico River. Turns out it was an 11:45 ferry so we had some lounging time at the ferry port. Most roads today were either just newly paved or lovely country roads with hardly a car to be seen. We felt like we were on a bike path.

  2. You just keep on moving! The miles covered in the last two days make me very tired. Loved the picture of the three first grade boys on field trip!
