Owings Mills , MD to York, PA. 59.2 miles

A walk in the park- that is what today felt like, especially after yesterday's trek.  Leaving the hotel before the Saturday holiday weekend traffic picked up, we rode 15 miles on beautiful hilly country roads. Then we hooked up to the North Central Railroad Trail which connected to the Heritage Rail Trail as we crossed into Pennsylvania.  Forty plus miles of leisure riding; no cars, no traffic, no hills, many weekend local bikers and hikers out. It was a glorious day.
   Vistas along the bike trail
A good day for a stretch
Coming into the quaint train town
  of New Freedom
Fantastic bike shop in New Freedom. The proprietor gave
the WT group 25% off - smart lady!
Beautiful old steam train in New Freedom, steaming
    away and ready for riders

  1. A 60 mile day is a walk in the park??! I think you have gone pro on us. However, I get what you say - so nice you didn't have to fight traffic, logging trucks, etc. the scenery (your pics) continue to be beautiful.
