Ah well today was one of those"what was I thinking " days. Started out in the rain at 48 degrees and that's about how it stayed; rain , cold headwinds and hills. I wanted to see if I could do it and I did. Pretty tired now though! And finally after six weeks, got to use my rain/ cold weather gear . It all worked-well pretty much worked- the key , as in cross country skiing is to keep moving. No pictures because of the weather but missed several lovely photo opportunities; an old historical furnace( it looked like a big stone edifice), the Farmingham River, the beautiful Norfolk, CT library built in 1888 and the scenic Saville Dam (all worth a visit in a car). So I'll show you how this big group of women is fed every night
Here's Emily our multitalented and

I didn't expect you would have 40 degree weather on June 1 - UGH! Good for you for managing to ride on through the cold and rain and hills and head winds. Does that magic jersey do anything special on a day like today? How about a magic carpet ride - that would be great! 10 more days till the finish line - but I'm sure you aren't counting! You keep going girl - you are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteCaught up with your blogs tonight. This cold weather is the pits! Hope tomorrow brings sun and warmer temps! You are awesome...
